A Message From the President Concerning Assignments
In order to avoid any possible conflicts between WMSRA assigned matches and HS assigned matches, the Board of WMSRA strongly suggests that upon receipt of the HS Availability Form you X out Saturdays - since this is when the majority of USSF/WMSRA assigned matches are played, and the growing number of players and teams registered with USSF is placing an ever growing demand on the WMSRA Referees.. This will avoid you having to turn back a HS assignment when you receive a USSF assignment from the WMSRA Assignor and will make the HS Assignor's job less troublesome.
Our By-Laws specify in Article 7 that WMSRA assigned games have priority:
ARTICLE VII: Obligations and Penalties
A. Game Assignments. No member is permitted to knowingly work with a suspended member or expelled former member. No member is permitted to accept a regular season game from soccer leagues or associations served by WMSRA without approval of the Assignment Committee. The penalty for working such unapproved games shall be a reduction in game assignments. If a member is unavailable to WMSRA while accepting game assignments elsewhere, the member's relationship with WMSRA will be reviewed by The Board. Members are required to inform the Assignment Committee of assignments accepted for games not assigned by WMSRA.
