Entry Level and Bridge Referee Classes - Kalamazoo
Either you or your son/daughter is registered for the Entry Level class or Bridge class being taught this Saturday, March 21.-
When:
Entry Level Course (Grade 9) - Saturday January 16, 2010
Bridge Course (Grade 9 to Grade 8) - Saturday February 13, 2010
Both classes will be taught from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. - Registration Items:
- If you were able to register for the Entry Level class or the Bridge class and paid on-line, bring the receipt that you were instructed to print. The $60.00 fee you paid is your 2009 USSF fee.
- If you had difficulty registering for the Entry Level class and were directed by email that you would be registered at the class, bring a copy of that email and a check for $60.00 made out to 'Michigan Referee Committee'.
- If you had difficulty registering for the Bridge class and were directed by email that you would be registered at the class, bring a copy of that email and your USSF number. If you did attend a recertification clinic for 2010 and paid the $55.00 recertification fee, bring a check for $5.00 made out to 'Michigan Referee Committee'. If you did NOT attend a recertification clinic for 20110 bring a check for $60.00 made out to 'Michigan Referee Committee.'
- Risk Management (criminal background check): If you were born before January 1, 1992, you must have a valid Risk Management card. Bring your current RM card or the printout that shows that you just recently passed the background check. If you are attending the Bridge class, if you do not have a current Risk Management certification, you cannot attend the class. If you are attending the Entry Level class and you do not have a current Risk Management clearance, your referee badge will not be sent to you until you prove to John Nadzam that you have obtained it.
- Lunch: There are restaurants @10 minutes from the church. Since the lunch break is short, we recommend that you bring a sack lunch.
- Information and Expectations:
Students are expected to take notes and participate actively in class. Students must pass an exam with a score of 75% or higher at the conclusion of the clinic in order to receive USSF certification. No refunds will be given to failing students. Electronic devices such as Game Boys, I-Pods, or MP3 players are not permitted in class. Pagers and cell phones in silence mode are permitted, however they can only be used on breaks or at the conclusion of class. This includes texting.
Kalamazoo area referees will be processed for USSF game assignments and will be given information on how games are assigned and what you will need to do. - Items to Bring: Paper and pencil(s).
If you are attending the Entry Level class you also need to bring a whistle for the field training.
